Welcome to Virginia

Another state down, and now on to the quickest one. It will only take a little over 70 miles to get through Virginia. So this will be a breeze to get through in June.

Summer suddenly hit here in Ohio. I'm not sure what the high was today, but it is currently 82 degrees at about 8:30 in the evening. Forecast tomorrow calls for 92. This is rare for early June.

The heat definitely got me on my run today. I had to slow down to a walk four times in my three mile run today. But still finished in about 27 minutes. It is going to take some time to get used to this heat. It is supposed to last through the majority of next week.

Yesterday's run was difficult for another reason. But I did learn something. Apparently eating spaghetti for dinner leads to upset stomach during runs. I just realized the pattern that every time I have a tomato sauce on pasta for dinner, the runs that night never go well. Lesson learned.

Tomorrow is ultimate frisbee again. Then hopefully a four-five mile run on Sunday. We'll see how I hold out in the heat the next couple days.

Big news at work...Smucker's is acquiring Folger's. This brand will increase our net sales by about 80%. It is going to be a huge project to get them on board, and we are already busy integrating two other recent acquisitions -- Europe's Best frozen fruits and Knott's Berry Farms spreads. Sadly, the Knott's theme park didn't come along with our new brand. I would have definitely requested a transfer if that was the case.

A transfer. Do you really want to start your mileage over?

Best wishes getting used to the humidity. Going throught that on the Tundra too.
